Creative and Performing Arts Scholarships

Eligibility for a Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship at Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College is based on a combination of artistic talent, passion, dedication, performance ability, academic standing, commitment to the arts, and potential for artistic growth and achievement. The Scholarship Committee carefully evaluates each application and performance portfolio to select deserving recipients who embody the values of creativity, expression, and excellence upheld by the College.

To apply, students will need to provide the following:

  1. Personal Statement: Applicants are required to submit a personal statement or essay to the Principal outlining why they wish to be educated at Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College. It should also outline their passion for the arts, artistic goals, aspirations, and reasons for applying for the scholarship. The statement must address each of the Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship Criteria found below.
  2. Letters of Recommendation: Applicants are to supply no more than three supporting letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or other individuals familiar with the student’s artistic abilities and character. These letters can provide additional insight into the applicant’s talent, work ethic, and potential for success in the performing arts.
  3. Academic reports: Upload your last four academic reports, NAPLAN results and any academic awards received by the applicant.
  4. Interview: Applicants will be required to participate in an interview to further assess their suitability for the scholarship. This interview may focus on their achievements, leadership experiences, and alignment with College values.
